Key Responsibilities

The Web Content and Social Media Specialist will have a broad range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the digital footprint of SMHS. These include:

  • Content Creation and Management:
    • Develop and curate content for the SMHS websites, email newsletters, and other online platforms.
    • Write compelling copy for websites, social media, and digital publications.
    • Collaborate with the SMHS Communications team to ensure all digital materials are up-to-date.
  • Digital Marketing:
    • Assist in the execution of online marketing campaigns.
    • Ensure all content aligns with the university’s branding and language guidelines.
  • Website Maintenance:
    • Conduct regular audits of the SMHS site, reorganizing and improving content as necessary.
    • Utilize Drupal Content Management Systems for content updates and management.
  • Analytics and Strategy:
    • Prepare and analyze website and social media metrics.
    • Use analytics to inform and refine digital strategies and decision-making processes.
  • Collaboration and Compliance:
    • Work directly with various SMHS departments to ensure digital content meets university standards.
  • Other Duties:
    • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor, which are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of specialization. Alternatively, a combination of education, training, and experience that equates to the required degree may be accepted.
