This is a 4 10-hour Weekend Work Schedule.

· Friday: 11:30am-10:00pm CST

· Saturday: 8:00am-6:30pm CST

· Sunday: 8:00am-6:30pm CST

Responsibilities:

· Interpret and validate written, electronic, verbal, and fax prescriptions within regulatory and company guidelines

· Complete a review of all pertinent patient information and medication history prior to dispensing medication

· Screen the accuracy and clinical appropriateness of prescription orders

· Contact physicians via telephone or fax for clarification of prescriptions

· Take calls from customers and physicians requesting counselling, education, clarification, order completion, or drug information

· Resolve any questions or concerns resulting from customers, physicians, or other health care professionals

· Answer phone inquiries in a timely and accurate manner

· Maintain production and quality service levels

· Vary work priorities and activities to accommodate business needs

· Provide input and feedback on potential efficiency improvements

Qualifications:

The Medicare Advantage Contracting Administrator (Provider Contracting SR Specialist) is responsible for network development, contracting, and relationship management with hospital and ancillary providers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the general oversight of the hospital and ancillary network in assigned territory, to include financial performance, quality initiative performance, provider data accuracy, trend analysis, and provider engagement.
Provides support to hospital and ancillary providers to include assistance with issues, orientation to the network, and other services, as required.
Leads hospital and ancillary contract negotiations for assigned relationships.
Organizes, participates in and/or can be expected to lead network and company meetings, to include Joint Operating Committee meetings.
Expected to collaborate with physician network administrators and senior leadership to develop a strategic plan for assigned territory and execute on that plan.
Presents at monthly financial review to senior management.
Serves as the network adequacy lead for the Georgia market.
Supervises at least one staff member responsible for accurate provider data across health plan platforms
