Summary
Work from home in Hawaii as a Systems Administrator for Etica, Inc. on either a part-time basis or as a contractor. Etica, Inc. is growing and has an opening for a Systems Administrator who has at least one year of experience in Linux. Solid understanding of LAMP environment, and good communication skills are required. The position is for the evening shift which ends at 2:30AM Hawaii time (HAST). This position is perfect for someone who wants a second source of income.

Requirements include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ability to work unsupervised from home
Ability to work the evening shift that ends at 2:30AM HAST
Solid troubleshooting skills to resolve website issues
Understands web hosting protocols such as TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SSH
Provides timely resolution of system and application issues
Some Windows Server experience is a plus

Benefits (Company is open to contract or part-time work)

$25-30 per hour DOE
401k, medical insurance and holiday pay

Other Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineer/technical discipline with 1+ years experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Linux Professional International Certification I (LPIC-1) will be required after hire. Company will pay for study materials and exam fees.
Able to Touch type at or higher than 42 WPM
Work occasionally in a data center where noise levels are higher than in an office setting
