Description

Work Schedule:

This is a 4 10-hour Weekend Work Schedule.

· Friday: 11:30am-10:00pm CST

· Saturday: 8:00am-6:30pm CST

· Sunday: 8:00am-6:30pm CST

· Monday: 11:30am-10:00pm CST

Responsibilities:

· Interpret and validate written, electronic, verbal, and fax prescriptions within regulatory and company guidelines

· Complete a review of all pertinent patient information and medication history prior to dispensing medication

· Screen the accuracy and clinical appropriateness of prescription orders

· Contact physicians via telephone or fax for clarification of prescriptions

· Take calls from customers and physicians requesting counselling, education, clarification, order completion, or drug information

· Resolve any questions or concerns resulting from customers, physicians, or other health care professionals

· Answer phone inquiries in a timely and accurate manner

· Maintain production and quality service levels

· Vary work priorities and activities to accommodate business needs

· Provide input and feedback on potential efficiency improvements

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited school of pharmacy

· Active Pharmacy license in Pennsylvania or South Dakota with no restrictions

· Experience in clinical pharmacy work within the pharmacy profession

· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively

· Appropriate computer skills for the position (Microsoft Office)

· Handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

· Commitment to excellence in customer service and patient care

· Flexibility to adapt to in a dynamic team environment

· Strong work ethic, with attention to detail and quality

· Positive and proactive attitude
