Avoiding Scams

The number one thing people who want to work at home have to deal with is scams! So we’ve got a couple of links here with information on how to avoid them!

Usually you should never have to pay for a job. We’re not talking about business opportunities – although with home business opportunities you should also be sure that the companies are reputable – we’re talking about actual jobs where you are an Independent Contractor or Employee.

But please note that some companies like iDictate transcribing might have you buy a foot/wav pedal to work with their company. And companies like LiveOps (and iDicate) will require you to pay for a background and/or credit check. But they are both legitimate, so just be careful and research each company before you send any money!
