Tribune Business News reports that Xerox has started to hire employees to work from home in hopes of saving $18 million in business costs.(Source)
January 2009 Update: I wonder how this all turned out. It seems(ed) like a good idea and a win-win situation.
I think it's always a great idea when a company can allow their employees to work from home, even if it's just part time/a day or so a week.
For the most part, I think employees like working at home and would jump at the chance to do it.
