Oregon Live reports that schemers are targeting people who are currently jobless. The article says schemers also target senior citizens, the disabled, people in the lower income bracket, homemakers and people looking to get rich fast.

Oregon Live says work at home schemers will not offer salaried employment, but they will promise huge earnings, offer user testimonies from people you can't check out (they are probably fake people), and will require money to start working for them.(Source)

This seems to be getting worse. I hope something is done about this. Times are hard enough without having to worry about work at home scams being so awful.

But on the bright side, there still are LEGITIMATE work at home jobs out there. This website has many! Check out the Work From Home section!
