The Wall Street Journal has a great Q&A with regards to dealing with explaining to your colleagues about working from home.

A reader wrote in to ask what do to about colleagues who gave her cold responses when she mentioned she needed to work at home on a certain day instead of attending a meeting at the office.

Toddi Gutner, who answered the question, gives pretty good advice and quotes regarding these working situations.

Gutner provides good quotes mentioning that the person who asked the question should have phrased their response differently and also mentions that it's important to make time for the company even when you work from home.
