The Ins, Outs and Caveats of Homesourcing

A business owner wrote in to ask about homesourcing/having some of his employees work from home. And Business Week answered that homesourcing can cut down on business expenses such as utilities and rent. They also noted that it can attract employees who will not mind some of the of the drawbacks of working for a small company if they are able work from home, and not have to travel to work.

Business Week also says that allowing employees to work at home isn't for every company, because some employees aren't disciplined enough to work from home.(Source)

Good answer from Karen Klein at Business Week. I really think a company can find enough employees who are disciplined enough to work from home. So in my opinion homesourcing is a great thing, and any company thinking about it should go for it!
