Long Island Business News reports that small home-based businesses are growing in Long Island and around the country.
The report has an interview with a Long Island resident and gets her view on working from home.
The article also mentions that, according to a November 2004 study by the United States Small Business Administration's Office of Advocacy, 53% of all small businesses were home based businesses.(Source)
January 2009 Update: Of course, home based businesses have grown even more since 2005. It's always interesting to look back on what was written regarding work at home and home business and see how far everything has come along.
