January 2009 Update: As of now this is still continuing. Some businesses are opting to keep their remote call centers and remote call center agents in the USA.
They use people in the USA who work from home to take calls.
It's nice to know it's been working so well all of these years. But I think many of these companies should do this at least a bit more. I realize that people in other countries need jobs as well. But, especially now, the USA could use some jobs for its citizens!
