Job Summary

Serves as Systems Engineer Senior with the Application Delivery Team, responsible for designing, implementing and testing desktop application delivery systems for a large virtual (VDI) and thick client environment. Position utilizes systems engineering for design and build, process creation and optimization, and scripting skills for standardization and automation in the deployment of end user facing services to the enterprise. Successful candidates will have a comprehensive knowledge and experience with industry best practices in desktop end user facing applications as well as experience with service development and delivery. Responsibilities will include:

Engineer, Implement and transition to operations enterprise class solutions
Creation of Architecture diagrams, CONOPS, and SOPs
Working high level requirements through detailed design, specifications, software deployment and operations.
Working in a dynamic and forward leaning technology environment around the Microsoft technology stack for a private cloud
Software system design, scaling and system configurations, with a focus on understanding customer needs and required functionality early in the application development life cycle and then proceeding with application development, complying with all security standards
Implementation of system build in a Windows environment for both server side and desktop
Staying knowledgeable of industry trends for desktop application delivery for a large scale, multi-tenant customer.
Project management and working in an agile development environment
Resolving a wide range of system issues, troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues
Achieving optimum performance and availability standards through implementing appropriate technical solutions
Maintaining concurrent schedules, providing milestone updates, and recording concise documentation (in various forms) for the purposes of application life-cycle management and archiving
Adhering to the ITIL framework (incident, change, and problem management)
Supporting independent testing entities through the resolution of discrepancy reports generated via the incident management process

Required Qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years’ experience, an additional 4 years’ experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree. Additional requirements include:

A strong aptitude in cross system and technology integration as well as resolution of issues
Proven time management skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experienced designing and implementing at least one application delivery system (App-V, SCCM, XenApp, Unidesk)
Knowledge of IT security concepts and practices
Ability to work with technical and non-technical people to successfully complete work assignments
Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team
Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Current IA Certification: Security +
ITIL Training 60 days after DOH
Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI with CI Poly
