Gulf News reports on girls from India having to drop out of school - or not go at all - in order to help their families earn a living. Meanwhile the boys get to study and play. It is felt that males should get an education over females, and with families needing money when the extra help is needed, girls should go out and work, or work from home.(Source)

Interesting article. I understand culture and traditions and all that. But it's a shame so many females aren't able to get an education, that I know so many desire, because of this gender bias. I hope someday both males and females can get the educations they need and want and not have to sacrifice so much of their lives and education.
