An Australian woman wrote in to Poynter Online to ask about work at home jobs for publishing and/or proofreading. She said she excelled in English comprehension in school and was wonderng about work from home.
Joe Grimm of Poynter said she should look into freelance work, and to start by visiting the website HireMyMom. Grimm also told her to beware of some freelance sites, because freelancers undercut each other so much on bidding for projects that it comes to a point that even the best freelancers can't take an assignment and make a decent wage from some assignments.(Source)
Freelance is a good idea for anyone wanting to work at home; especially if it's administrative or writing or IT and coding work, like JAVA, C++ and those types of coding/website design jobs. But freelance is good for many types of jobs and services.
