Wallet Pop has an article on why you should beware of some work from home ads. They say a lot of these ads are scams and there is even one ad about stuffing envelopes that will have you do real work, but then after they get all of your personal information and bank information to pay you, they will clean out your bank account.(Source)
Wow, I've never heard of that "stuffing envelopes" scam until now. The "stuffing envelopes" scams I usually hear about are the ones where they say you will work for them, but all they end up sending you is fliers of the same ad they scammed you with.
These scams are getting more and more outrageous! Beware indeed! I have ads on my website, but I try to filter out what I deem to be scams as best I can. I always try to get rid of those stuffing envelopes ads especially. I know they're bogus.
Also, there still are LEGITIMATE work at home jobs out there. This website has many! Check out the Work From Home section!
