Canada.com reports on a list of do's and don'ts for parents who have kids in the house while they're working from home. Number one is to make time for both you and your family. Number two is to arrange it so that sometimes you are not responsible for the child. If you've got a partner have them help out. If not, set up a play date or get a babysitter.
Number three is try to go portal by getting a laptop. That way you can be anywhere in the house with your kids and not just glued to the office.
Some don'ts include; Not procrastinating. Not working at the kitchen table all that often. And don't work 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Be flexible instead and take some time off between those hours.
I love reading these articles. I always get good advice from them. What they say makes a lot of sense and I always agree with not procrastinating. I kind of do that sometimes and it is not good for working at home or anywhere else.
