Some of Wu's tips include evaluating your job position(s) and skills, check to see if you can get a telecommuting position with your current employer.
Be initiative and Professional because employers like those qualities and will be more inclined to accept a proposal to let you work from home.
Don't ignore a job just because "telecommute" or "work at home" isn't in the description, because even though it's not in the description, that doesn't mean they don't have options for employees to telecommute at a later date.
Those are some great tips! And while I agree that a person should take a job they deem great for them, a person should for the most part look for jobs that do specify work at home / telework / telecommute or some such words, because then they know they have a great chance of working at home. Or during the job interview at least ask if telecommuting is possible after a certain time working for the company.
Applying for a job without those keyword in the description would make being able to work from home hit or miss.
